SMILES FOR SHANNON

Please join us for the 2nd Annual "Smiles for Shannon" Golf Outing, sponsored by BCBA for the benefit of Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Day Hospital.

Last year, as many of you know, Shannon was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. She has completed her treatments and is doing very well - back in school, playing sports and enjoying life as a teenager. Much of this would not have been possible had it not been for the dedicated team of doctors, nurses and support staff at Memorial Sloan. Their tireless efforts have made all the difference in the world to Shannon and children like her who get the best treatment and care they can provide.

There are many childhood cancers, and not all are curable, so the money that is raised from this golf outing goes directly to the benefit of children. In addition to outstanding medical care, there is a great deal of emotional support provided to the children in the way of arts and craft programs, movies, holiday celebrations and all these things cost money to fund. So dig deep and help us to help them.

Our thanks to all those who participated last year - by being a sponsor, donating prizes, volunteering their time to help, and playing golf for a great cause. We were able to make a $7000 contribution last year and our goal this year is to raise $10,000.
